Dr. Taylor was born and raised in Southern California. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Utah College of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah. He completed his post-graduate specialty training at University of California, Los Angeles Hospital and Clinics.

Dr. Taylor is the author of numerous of articles published in peer review medical and scientific journals. He is an active member of many professional societies including the American Medical Association, the California and the Orange County Medical Associations. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Taylor has served as Chief of Surgery, Chief of Urology and as a member of the Executive Committee of local medical centers.
