Dr. Schuhrke strives for a caring relationship with his patients based on mutual respect and ongoing communication. Positive health is created by a positive patient - physician dynamic which Dr. Schuhrke endeavors to foster through mutual trust.

Dr. Schuhrke spent his formative years in the Chicago area with Bachelor of Science, Biology and Doctor of Medicine degrees earned at Loyola University of Chicago.

He served with the United States Navy and Marine forces during the Viet Nam conflict prior to completing his urologic specialty training at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California.

Dr. Schuhrke has served as chief of Urology and chief of the Medical Staff, as well as being active in medical staff affairs at our local hospitals. He is a past president of the Orange County Urologic Society. Additionally, he has dedicated time and interest to several community boards.

Prostate cancer care and stone disease have been areas of special professional interest.

Dr. Schuhrke, his wife, Deb, and their son and daughter have been long-time residents in Monarch Beach, California. He enjoys hiking and fishing in the Sierra Nevada and exploring Yosemite National Park.
