Dr. Aaron Spitz named a 2017 ‘Physician of Excellence’

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. (Sept. 7, 2016) – For the fourth time, Dr. Aaron Spitz of Orange County Urology Associates has been selected as a “Physician of Excellence” by the Orange County Medical Association. Accordingly, he will be featured as a “Top Doc” in the January 2017 issue of Orange Coast magazine.

Dr. Spitz is a graduate of the Cornell University Medical College, New York, New York. He performed both his internship and residency at LA County and University of Southern California Medical Center, Los Angeles. Dr. Spitz completed his fellowship in urology at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas.

Dr. Spitz was born in Miami Beach, Florida. In addition to his busy general urology practice, Dr. Spitz has specific training and interest in male reproductive medicine. He is highly skilled at microsurgical vasectomy reversal. He performs both vasovasostomy and vasoepididymostomy, and he has extensive experience salvaging previously failed vasectomy reversals. Dr. Spitz performs microsurgical varicocele surgery and sperm retrieval surgery for in vitro fertility (IVF). He can treat even the most severe cases, such as Klinefelter’s syndrome, where there are no sperm.

A nationally recognized expert, Dr. Spitz performs no-needle, no-scalpel vasectomy employing the most advanced minimally invasive techniques for male birth control. He is also a recognized expert on male hormone replacement and sexual dysfunction. Dr. Spitz also provides expert treatment for men suffering from low testosterone, erectile dysfunction (ED) and Peyronie’s disease.

As the author of several peer-reviewed journal articles and chapters about treatment for male fertility, Dr. Spitz is a frequent media spokesperson on men’s health issues. He also is active in medical politics, frequently advocating on behalf of urologists and their patients nationally. He is currently serving as president of the California Urological Association (CUA), and is co-chair of the American Urological Association’s (AUA) Telemedicine Work Group.
