Dr. Karan Singh, Dr. Aaron Spitz and Dr. Neyssan Tebyani selected as 2017 ‘Top Doctors’ in Orange Coast magazine
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. (Jan. 9, 2017) – Three physicians from Orange County Urology Associates – Dr. Karan Singh, Dr. Aaron Spitz and Dr. Neyssan Tebyani – have been selected by Castle Connolly as 2017 “Top Doctors.”

Each year Castle Connolly ranks the top 1% of Orange County physicians in 65 medical specialties. The three OCUA physicians were featured in the January 2017 “Top Doctors” issue of Orange Coast magazine. Dr. Singh, Dr. Spitz and Dr. Tebyani are among a very select group of physicians in Southern California to earn this prestigious distinction. Castle Connolly bases its “Top Doctor” selections on nominations submitted by other doctors, then they are reviewed by its physician-led research team.

Dr. Singh is board-certified in both adult and pediatric urology. He attended the UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles, graduating at the top of his class. He performed his internship and residency at the University of California San Diego Medical Center.
Dr. Singh was raised in the San Fernando Valley. He has been practicing in Orange County for over 17 years. He is committed to excellence in the care of his patients through a combination of persistent attention to detail and implementation of the latest technology and techniques, which are constantly changing in the modern era of medicine. He is currently the Chief of Urology at Mission Hospital, but also works at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and Hoag Hospital Irvine. He attends several conferences and meetings every year to keep abreast of the latest techniques and treatments.
Dr. Spitz is a board-certified urologist and also specializes in male reproductive medicine. He is a graduate of the Cornell University Medical College, New York, NY. Dr. Spitz performed both his internship and residency at LA County and University of Southern California Medical Center, Los Angeles. He did his fellowship in urology at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. He is highly skilled at microsurgical vasectomy reversal. He performs both vasovasostomy and vasoepididymostomy, and he has extensive experience salvaging previously failed vasectomy reversals. Dr. Spitz performs microsurgical varicocele surgery and sperm retrieval surgery for in vitro fertility (IVF).
A nationally recognized expert, Dr. Spitz performs no-needle, no-scalpel vasectomy employing the most advanced minimally invasive techniques for male birth control. He is also a recognized expert on male hormone replacement and sexual dysfunction. Dr. Spitz also provides expert treatment for men suffering from low testosterone, erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease. Dr. Spitz is a frequent media spokesperson on male health issues. He also is actively involved in medical politics, frequently advocating on behalf of urologists and their patients nationally. He is currently serving as president of the California Urological Association (CUA).
Dr. Tebyani is board-certified in urology with an emphasis in robotic surgery. In 2008, Dr. Tebyani performed the first robotic surgery at Mission Hospital. He is certified in robotic surgery and has undergone advanced robotic surgery training in Germany. He graduated from UCLA medical school in 1995 and received many honors, including Top Medical Graduate and The Warren Medal. He completed his general surgery and urological surgery training at the Kaiser-Permanente medical center in Los Angeles. Dr. Tebyani continued his training in Germany, where he expanded his skills in laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Tebyani also has completed advanced training on the da Vinci® Robotic Surgery system and has been certified by Intuitive Surgical. He has been involved in various research projects, published scientific papers, and contributed to urology textbooks.
Dr. Tebyani has practiced in Orange County, California, since 2001. As a member of Orange County Urology Associates, his practice deals with a variety of urological problems, including prostate problems, kidney stones, incontinence, and various cancers of the urinary tract. Dr. Tebyani focuses on robotic-assisted urology surgical procedures and minimally invasive approaches that achieve excellent outcomes while minimizing patient discomfort. This includes robotic-assisted removal of the prostate gland, which results in less blood loss and quicker recovery.
