Dr. Tebyani named a ‘Physician of Excellence’ award winner
LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2017) – For the seventh consecutive year, Dr. Neyssan Tebyani of Orange County Urology Associates has been selected as a 2017 “Physician of Excellence” by the Orange County Medical Association. Accordingly, Dr. Tebyani was honored as a “Top Doc” in Orange Coast magazine.
Dr. Tebyani practices in comprehensive adult urology with an emphasis in robotic surgery. In 2008, Dr. Tebyani performed the first robotic surgery at Mission Hospital. He is certified in robotic surgery and has undergone advanced robotic surgery training in Germany.
Dr. Tebyani, a board-certified urologist, is on staff and operates at Mission Hospital, Hoag Hospitals Irvine and Newport Beach, and Saddleback Memorial.
He graduated from UCLA medical school in 1995 and received many honors, including Top Medical Graduate and winner of The Warren Medal. He completed his general surgery and urological surgery training at the Kaiser-Permanente medical center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Tebyani continued his training in Germany, where he expanded his skills in laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Tebyani also has completed advanced training on the da Vinci® Robotic Surgery system and has been certified by Intuitive Surgical. He has been involved in various research projects, published scientific papers, and contributed to urology textbooks.
Dr. Tebyani has practiced in Orange County, California, since 2001. As a member of Orange County Urology Associates, his practice deals with a variety of urological problems, including prostate problems, kidney stones, incontinence, and various cancers of the urinary tract. Dr. Tebyani focuses on robotic-assisted urology surgical procedures and minimally invasive approaches that achieve excellent outcomes while minimizing patient discomfort. This includes robotic-assisted removal of the prostate gland, which results in less blood loss and quicker recovery.
