Three hospitals that receive services from Orange County Urology physicians garner high Urology ratings in 2018 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals issue

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. (August 21, 2018) – Orange County Urology Associates (OCUA) today congratulates Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, Mission Hospital, and MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center on their excellent Urology ratings in the 2018 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals issue. Orange County Urology Associates physicians are on the medical staff at all three hospitals.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings are designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care for life-threatening conditions and common procedures. Scores are based on several factors, including outcomes, patient safety, patient experience and more.

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is ranked the No. 1 hospital in Orange County, the fourth-best in LA metro, and the eighth-best in California. It also ranked nationally in four medical specialties, including being ranked 41st in urology.

Mission Hospital is ranked a top-3 hospital in Orange County, the seventh-best in LA metro, and the twelfth-best in California. Mission Hospital also received a high-performing distinction in urology.

Orange Coast Medical Center – consistently voted by Orange County Register readers as a Best Orange County Hospital and the Top Hospital in 2017 – received a U.S. News & World Report ranking as a Top 10 hospital in LA metro, and 21st-best in California. Orange Coast Medical Center also received a high-performing rating in urology. Orange Coast Medical Center has been widely recognized for its commitment to patient quality and safety by achieving several “A” grades in The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Scores, considered the gold standard measure for hospital safety.

Saddleback Medical Center has been named a Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report and a Becker’s Healthcare Top Hospital. Additionally, it was named among America’s 50 Best Hospitals for three consecutive years. Saddleback Medical Center has been consecutively voted among Orange County’s Best Hospitals by readers of the Orange County Register, including several #1 rankings, and has appeared on Thomson Reuters’ lists of America’s Best Hospitals.
