About Dr. Shoureshi

Dr. Poone Shoureshi is one of only 11% of female urologic surgeons. Her practice is dedicated to treating patients with genitourinary tract issues, with special interest in urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, fistula repair, complex reconstruction of the pelvis and lower urinary tract, overactive bladder, and neuromodulation.

After finishing her general surgery internship and urology residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR, Dr. Shoureshi completed her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (also known as Urogynecology) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Shoureshi has extensive experience with robotic and vaginal reconstructive surgery. She believes in working together with her patients to improve their quality of life with individualized treatment plans.

Dr. Shoureshi’s native language is English. She also speaks conversational Spanish and Farsi.

In her free time, Dr. Shoureshi enjoys life with her husband and two children. Her hobbies include drawing, yoga, and spending time outdoors with her family.
